Hello all,

I am having a problem with my newly installed forum. 3.0.6.

none of the images like my smiles are showing, or new posts, stuff like that. can you help me figure this out.

i have check my script path which is /phpBBtmp, and that is correct. i have installed several of these boards with out problems until now. they were all 3.0.5, so don't know if it is some other kind of problem.

So after posting the above i thought to go to my root directory website name http://www.nuffracingleague.com/nmw2/phpBBtmp All of the images there work,
But at http://www.nuffwarfare.com/phpBBtmp/ they do not. Maybe this will help.

Thanks,
busternm

You have something strange going on with your hosting, or perhaps your htaccess file. I'm getting a 403 error when trying to view the images with a referrer set, and viewing the image directly (no referrer) does work, the image shows in the forum's template after that.

Code: Select all

Error 403 - Forbidden

You tried to access a document for which you don't have privileges.
I can't say what's causing this, but you have some idea what direction to look in now.

Are you using htaccess to prevent hotlinking on this site?

Yes i am.... Bingo, i think you just nailed it... I need to add my new nuffwarfare.com to the list.

let me change it and see if that fixes it.

Yup it is the hotlinking... edited the htaccess file to include nuffwarfare.com and all is good.

Thanks, so much i have been working on this for days.
