Can't log into ACP

Hello everyone,

When I input a correct username and password into the ACP login screen, I automatically get logged out of the forum despite successfully logging in.

There are errors at the top of the ACP login screen which may be related to the problem I'm having.

Once I have signed in successfully (it gives me the option to proceed to the ACP or wait a few seconds), the message "Access to the Administration Control Panel is not allowed as you do not have administrative permissions", and at the top it says I'm no longer logged in.

Why am I having this problem, and how do I go about fixing it?

Few questions. Is this really phpbb premod? How did you update the style to version 3.0.6? Did you install a MOD that required edits to language/en/common.php? If so, what did you edit it with?

Will do my best to answer...

1) Don't understand what you mean by premod?
2) I haven't updated the style, just the forum.
3) I edited language/en/acp/common.php, and I edit all my files with notepad.

3 - The error is from editing that file with Notepad. get Notepad++ and save the file as utf8 w/o BOM. Do not use Notepad to edit phpbb files. You may also have something - return, characters, blank line - before the initia; <?php tag in that file.

1) Never really noticed it before, and I don't know what the difference is. I got the files from this website, specifically this page;

Yesterday I upgraded my forum from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6, but I had to use a fresh-install package rather than an update one as the latter wouldn't work.

2) Alright, I'll have to find a 3.0.6 version then.

3) Will have a look at that tomorrow and let you know how I get on.

Haven't tried that fix yet, will give it a go in a sec.

I can't seem to find "utf8 w/o BOM" when saving. Does it have another name?
