Split: Maximum attachment size

Post by cooder »

I am having the same problem.

Code: Select all

The attachment’s file size is too large, the maximum upload size is 2 MB.
Please note this is set in php.ini and cannot be overridden.
I have the .doc extension allowed and the board setting to max filesize.

Split to new topic, as it's a different issue.

How large is the file you're trying to upload? You won't be able to upload files over 2MB no matter what your board's max filesize settings are. The maximum upload size defined in php.ini overrides board settings, and can usually only be changed by the host.

it won't hurt to try but your host may not allow you to have your own php.ini files. you will have to ask them

if you see a public_html folder on your server then yes it is your root folder.

It is hosted on our internal virtual web server, so I should be able to get it changed.

I may just have to ask one of the proper IT guys to change the settings

Thanks
