User logs in and is automatically logged out, bad circle..

When one of my users logs in, and is redirected to the front page, he is automatically logged out. Then he logs in again, and is once again automatically logged out.
This goes for only one of the users too, and the problem just started a couple of days ago, tho the user has been registered for two weeks.

I got 3.0.6, norwegian, no mods og extra styles..

Hello Rabagast,

what about the cockie settings from the affected users? Did you allready checked this? Does the problem occure with an special browser or with several browser?

If all users are affected the problem my be the cockie configuration from your board.

It's only this user. Suspects it's his browser.
Don't know which one he uses, but tested his account on another computer and in FF, and it worked well there.

Check the IP addresses of his posts. If it is changing between wildly different IPs, you might need to adjust your "Session IP validation:" on the Security Settings page.

Nope, he's stabil on that one..
My IP validation is ABC, but it doesn't seem to be the problem either. Waiting for him to go online now to see if he uses some other browser than FF..

New intel: He uses safari and that is where it doesn't work.. Did work earlier, but suddenly it won't.

Im in the same trouble.

some users cant login anymore because they get in a login / exit circle..
IE8 users

i run my site on a ( ip ) and redirect to that url bij a trans|ip to www.site.nl

i use Phpbb 3.0.5

cookie settings
Cookie domein: ( empty )
Cookie naam: : phpbb3_something
Cookie pad: /

Cookie secure [ https ]: off

That is probably the cause of the problem.
On the "server settings " page, how do you have "Force server vars" set?

Try changing "Force server vars" to "no".

If that doesn't work, try changing it back to "Yes", and setting the cookie domain to ".site.nl"

Oke, i changed the cookie domain.... now all my members need to clear there browsercookies... because the al get in the login/logout chain
