phpBB bbcode vs vBulletin bbcode

Post by gch5185 »

Hi,

I am facing a big issue in my forum. There are a number of active posters in my forum. Some of them, they just copy posts from other forum and paste them in my forum. Unfortunately, the posts format are using vBulletin bbcode. For instance,
10 Scams That You Need To Be Aware Of
which is not supported in phpBB3 forum. Any idea how to overcome this issue by doing some tweaking in the codes? To allow the phpBB to read the bbcode with the syntax " ". Thank you.

Take a look at http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/adding- ... in-phpbb3/ and http://www.phpbb.com/support/documentat ... ng_bbcodes and see if this answers your questions.

If not, please report back.

I saw the same question recently on the phpBB support forum: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... p=11758225

Some suggestions for code changes were given, however they didn't seem to work for the topic starter.

the only thing wrong with that code is the quotes around the paramaters.

also, font size 7 is very tiny.
this:

Code: Select all

[color=DarkRed][size=7]10 Scams That You Need To Be Aware Of[/size][/color]
produces this:

10 Scams That You Need To Be Aware Of
if you bump up the font size a bit, you can see it:
10 Scams That You Need To Be Aware Of
I'm baaaaaccckkkk. still doing work on donation basis. PM your needs.
