newly register and register acess one forum

i am not sure why...

for example...

C member = 4 posts and has gray color title
X member = 30 posts and has green color title

"download" forum only allow all members with more than 5 posts to access, read or post...

so my problem is...

why does C member still able to access "download" forum?

i already try to remove newly rigster from forum premission... or even add "no access" in newly group... but i check member list in group setting... i notice all is register... even with less than 4 posts... why?

i already enable "New member post limit" as 5 posts and "Set Newly Registered Users group to default" as "yes"...

i thought newly register will not transfer into register automatically if they has less than 4 posts...?

did i do something wrong?

All of your members will be in Registered Users, even those with zero posts.

You should be setting your Newly Register User forum and user Roles with "Never" permissions. Those will override the "Yes" permissions in the Reg'd Users group

you mean acp > premission > forum role > newly register?

only check "never" at "Can see forum" option?

Yes. That and the User Role too. Use "Never" to block permissions from that group.

ok... i am confused...

i followed what you said... its not works... i mean the user cant access to other forums that they are allowed to read or view forum... :\

i also tried to remove the user from register group and it works...

now i dont know why or how... but can you please re-explain how to not show specific forums for all memebers with less than 5 posts? please tell me from scratch...

Do NOT remove users from the "Registered Users" group. You will cause more problems down the track.
As Brf said, to stop a new user from accessing a forum, give them a NEVER permission on that forum.

If you are confused about what the total permissions applying to one user are going to be, use the "Permission masks" feature on the "Permissions" tab in the ACP on that user. It lets you see what the final permission is, and how it got that way.
