Ah, okay, it is your dev forum. I see you probably misunderstood therat.
The only line that should be removed is

Code: Select all

<!-- IF QUICK_REPLY_ALLOWED --><!-- INCLUDE prime_quick_reply.html --><!-- ENDIF -->
The other lines of code should stay, since they are for the standard phpBB quick reply. So you have to put the next lines back:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_QUICK_REPLY -->
   <!-- INCLUDE quickreply_editor.html -->
<!-- ENDIF -->

Thanks again, but that didn't fix it either.

Just to be sure, did you refresh the style template in the ACP after modifying the template file and refreshed your browser (<ctrl><F5>)?

Yeah, I did both of those along with emptying the browser cache too.

Since you are working with a dev board, could you try out the following:

Open viewtopic_body.html

Find

Code: Select all

<!-- IF PRIME_MULTI_QUOTE -->
	<script type="text/javascript" src="{T_TEMPLATE_PATH}/prime_multi_quote.js"></script>
<!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- IF U_MCP --><p>[&nbsp;<a href="{U_MCP}">{L_MCP}</a>&nbsp;]</p><!-- ENDIF -->
<h2><a href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}">{TOPIC_TITLE}</a>&nbsp;&nbsp;<!-- AddThis Button BEGIN --><script type="text/javascript">var addthis_pub="terrordrome";</script>
<a href="http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php?v=20" onmouseover="return addthis_open(this, '', '[URL]', '[TITLE]')" onmouseout="addthis_close()" onclick="return addthis_sendto()"><img src="http://s7.addthis.com/static/btn/lg-share-en.gif" width="125" height="16" alt="Bookmark and Share" style="border:0"/></a><script type="text/javascript" src="http://s7.addthis.com/js/200/addthis_widget.js"></script><!-- AddThis Button END -->
</h2>
Replace by

Code: Select all

<!-- IF U_MCP -->
  <!-- IF TOTAL_MODERATOR_REPORTS or TOTAL_MODERATOR_PMS or TOTAL_MODERATOR_POSTS or TOTAL_MODERATOR_TOPICS -->
  <div id="message" class="rules">
    <div class="inner"><span class="corners-top"><span></span></span>
        <strong>{L_INFORMATION}:</strong><br />
        <!-- IF TOTAL_MODERATOR_POSTS --> &bull; <a href="{U_MODERATOR_APPROVE_POSTS}">{TOTAL_MODERATOR_POSTS}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
        <!-- IF TOTAL_MODERATOR_TOPICS --> &bull; <a href="{U_MODERATOR_APPROVE_TOPICS}">{TOTAL_MODERATOR_TOPICS}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
        <!-- IF TOTAL_MODERATOR_REPORTS --> &bull; <a href="{U_MODERATOR_REPORTS}">{TOTAL_MODERATOR_REPORTS}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
        <!-- IF TOTAL_MODERATOR_PMS --> &bull; <a href="{U_MODERATOR_PMS}">{TOTAL_MODERATOR_PMS}</a><!-- ENDIF -->
    <span class="corners-bottom"><span></span></span></div>
  </div>
  <!-- ENDIF -->
<!-- ENDIF -->

<!-- IF U_MCP --><p>[&nbsp;<a href="{U_MCP}">{L_MCP}</a>&nbsp;]</p><!-- ENDIF -->
<h2><a href="{U_VIEW_TOPIC}">{TOPIC_TITLE}</a></h2>
Do the refresh and purging and so on and see if that will show the quick reply.

I am just as sorry as you are. I want to give it another try.
To make sure it is not related to any setting in the ACP, change as follows in viewtopic_body.html

Find

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_QUICK_REPLY -->
   <!-- INCLUDE quickreply_editor.html -->
<!-- ENDIF -->
Replace by

Code: Select all

   <!-- INCLUDE quickreply_editor.html -->
This should show the quickreply button/field independent off ACP settings.

Did this and still not showing? So what does this mean? Something conflicting in the template?

I suppose so. That's what i noticed with my quickreply mod and the phpBB3.0.6 quick reply. Somehow the two Java scripts didn't work together, without knowing exactly what is the exact cause.
I suppose that if you would use the default prosilver template, it will work.

That's the thing though, for the most part it is the default template. I only changed some colors and images and wrapped it in a different "theme". I didn't alter the structure. Guess I'll just have to stick with Prime Quick Reply for now then.

SOLVED!

I tried to look into my forum page code and the quick reply code was there, but the button itself wasn't displayed even when I enabled everything. So i tried to search the KB about the button, and this helped me:

Display Quick Reply by default in prosilver

Hope it helps you aswell.

This finally worked. Sadly, now that I see it, I think I like Prime Quick Reply more.

Thanks for your help though.

Where in the forum page code should I search for the quick reply code?

I tried your advice, but that didn't help me.

However it seems that something is not quite right in my control panel - there is a small button (I circled it in red) where I can't read the text, but I can press it - and the place where it says "Allow quick reply" is a bit off itself...

The button should work fine. Since your admin panel is in your language (other than english), update your ACP language to 3.0.7. After that, you'll get the right description for the button.
If you use another templates, you have to update your other templates to 3.0.7 too - easiest way is to download your se_pro template again.

THANK YOU!!!

This fixed my issue with the box not showing up and it also removes that stupid pointless button which I was going to do anyway.

Seriously, why do I have to click a button to use the quick reply box? If I click the regular reply button it is the same about of clicking...it saves very very VERY little time.
