Showing a feed of recent threads on website

Post by killa101 » Tue Mar 16, 2010 12:55 am

Hi all.

Is there a way that I can pull a feed of the n most recent threads in the forum to show them on my websites front page? I want to show the title of the threads as well as a short excerpt from the post.

Cheers,
Jordan

I think you would need a RSS MOD.

There was a great script called Topics Anywhere for phpBB2 - sadly nothing like it exists for the current version.

This long winded thread has a number of suggestions ... http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 2&t=586994

Can you easily implement them into any HTML or PHP page on any other website so that they show the latest topics from select forums only with extra info such as date, views, jump to last post options?

Why don't you take a look at the available feed settings and see if they meet your requirements?

Good stuff, I'll have a look through that. It may save me using the hacked together script that does it now!
