Post by GreenAge »

I'm trying to create a free bbcode to anyone write html, I don't care about security, I just want that works.
In ACP:
tag

Code: Select all

[free]{TEXT}[/free]
html

Code: Select all

{TEXT}
Using:

Code: Select all

[free]<div style="font-size:30px;">Teste</div>[/free]
This in generated html, < and > were replaced by < and >

How to disable this conversion?

Sorry, that won't work, and we will NOT help you reduce the security of your board.

Are other users allowed to link to solutions to this? I found one by a reputable source but don't want to post this link if it will be removed. :)

No. As ric323 stated, phpBB.com does not provide support for processes which inherently disable security features of phpBB. That doesn't mean "just phpBB Team Members." :D

GreenAge, you're perfectly free to do this if you wish. We can't stop you. A Google search may be able to help you, but we don't provide official support here at phpBB.com for this. Please be warned that allowing HTML opens up massive security holes, both to the board/server, and visitors browsing the site. This is what Custom BBCodes are for, and you have to be careful even there.

OK, but saying "we will NOT help you reduce the security of your board" did sound like it meant "phpBB Team Members" (the "we" is very ambiguous).

I would suggest wording more like "Nobody is allowed to post about ways to reduce the security of your board here." In fact, I would consider making that a rule.

That MOD is hardly a solution, it allows you to post totally unfiltered HTML including Javascript.
