No users in backup file

Post by thomaschh » Sat May 01, 2010 4:36 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to backup our forum and for some reason it is not getting any user information. I've tried several times and no go. Could someone tell me if there's a way to do this or what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks!

The PHP backup script could be timing out, resulting in a truncated backup file.

Yeah, it seems to stop part way through the search_wordlist. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I've tried it at least 5 times and same thing happens, although it cuts out at different points in the word list. Anyone have any ideas? I'd like to get this done soon because we're trying to update and change servers! :|

There's a few other ways you can try to back up the database, both are described in this article: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/transfe ... or-domain/

phpMyAdmin and via SSH (command line) are the options.

If you post the last 25 lines of your backup file, we can tell you if it's complete.

You could cut out the both tables data for "search_wordlist" and "search_wordmatch". That would reduce the file and it would not break while restore the data..

If you need support, I suggest you to use the Support Request Template for your questions on this board. If you have some serious problems, the Support Toolkit can fix it (depends on the problem).
