Log-in or Register redirect?

Post by mmorlino » Sat Jun 26, 2010 12:44 am

Ok, so my forum is private - You cannot even view it unless you are a registered user (and registered users must be approved by me).

So if you are not a reg. user (or not logged in), it takes you to the forum but says, "There are no forums available" (paraphrase).

What I would like to do is redirect to a page that explains what's going on. ie: "You cannot view this forum unless you are a registered user. Please register 'here'." Or something to that extent.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Thanks!
Yours in Christ,
~Molly~

You can easily change the text for "This board has no forums". Open up /lanauge/en/common.php and change this line

Code: Select all

'NO_FORUMS' => 'This board has no forums.',
Example:

Code: Select all

'NO_FORUMS' => 'You cannot view this forum unless you are a registered user. Please register.',
Flying is the second best thrill to cheerleaders; being caught is the first.
