Forbidden in ACP

Post by rosdi » Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:56 am

Hi,

Nothing has been changed or mod in ACP. This morning, the ACP is working fine but now it is giving me "Forbidden" message:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forum/adm/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apache Server at http://www.bettasocietymalaysia.com.my Port 80
It happens when I want to change/submit the users profile. Other place got no problem like Overview, Feedback, Preferrences, Avatar, etc.

Please help.

A forbidden error usually indicates that the permissions on that script, or its folder, are set wrong. There could also be an .htaccess file blocking it. Have you asked your host if they've changed anything?

I just realized that I can change some of the users Profile.

What should I need to ask my webhosting to do?

If, as you say, you've done nothing before this occurred ask them if they've changed anything especially security settings. Also ask them for any error logs they may have, you may be able to get at these yourself from your cPanel.

They just replied:

They have changed new rules update for mod_security in their server to prevent XSS Attack dan SQL Injection.

What should I do.

Unfortunately this isn't a phpBB support issue, any mod_security support needs to be taken up with your host. The solution is to get your host to properly configure the mod_security rules.

Sir,

There is no problem if changing the profile from UCP.

Thanks.
