Come back to default phpbb3

Post by SoutlinK »

Is there any way to convert my moded forum (I mean my forum have some mods intalled) to default phpbb3. I know remplace all files, but what about the database?

I tried to use STK (clean database utility) but I had some problems with that (http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... &t=2102205).

Thanks in advance

*NOTE: Before proceeding backup all files and the database.*
  • Delete all files and folders in your board's root folder, except for config.php, the /images and /files folders
  • Upload all new files from a download of the full version 3.0.7-PL1, except for config.php, the /images and /files folders.
  • Go to yoursite.com/forumfolder/install/database_update.php
  • Let that run and then delete the install folder.
  • You now have a new up to date board containing all your users and posts but without any MODs that you might have had installed. Database entries for MODs will not be called by the files and will be ignored, except you may have to manually disable some modules created by MODs

Ok, I did what you say and its seens to be perfect. I still got that STK try to delete some default columns but I dont mind.

I make a File Compare Report, comparing 2 dumps of my database.

At left its a default phpbb3 install database and at right its my phpbb table.

And here its the result. The main diference its that in some case use var and other cases use varchar

You can check the diff file here: http://www.halospain.com/soutlink/Diff.htm
