Problem with drupal

Post by marcus78 »

Hi
Im working with Drupal and phpBB and have a problem. When Im running drupal in phpBB I get weird links.
An extra site url is appended to every link
instead of
http://blabla.com/phpbbforum/ucp.php
i get
http://blabla.com/http://blabla.com/phpbbforum/ucp.php

Thought it was a drupal issue but the only problem I found on Drupal.org was the following where the developer says its a "internal phpBB3 settings that needed changing"
http://drupal.org/node/755064

If anybody has any ideas or solutions to this problem I would be thankful

If phpBB3 worked correctly prior to installing Drupal it would be a installation/drupal misconfiguration.

Unfortunatly I´m in the middle of this project and I´m trying to figure out how my predecessor configured this.
Reinstalling it has crossed my mind but I´d rather not since I´ve got a tight schedule.

I have been attempting this with a site of mine and have had 0 luck. I always get the WSOD and I get logged out of Drupal. As far as I am aware, the drupal/phpBB3 forum integration bridge is a dead project. The release date of the beta was the 11th of July, and there has only been floods of issue posts.

If you have any luck at all, please let me know. I'm setting this thread to notify me when a reply is posted so I keep up with the progress. Mean while, I will start digging through the code to see if I can figure it out.

Been having this up in the Swedish phpbb community.

They´ve instructed me to remove server protocol and domain in server settings.

What happens then is that all css is removed and instead of
http://blabla.com/http://blabla.com/phpbbforum/ucp.php
i get
http://http://blabla.com/phpbbforum/ucp.php

I also get serious trouble when I try to add a topic due to safety protocols.

Over at the Swedish phpbb community they thought that i was some trouble with the .htaccess file?
Changed the code there but nothing removed the http:// from the path and all the css is still removed

Any ideas?

FINALLY! WHOHOOO
Fixed but Im gonna test this solution a bit more. It seem to work good.

I changed this line at row 78
$site_forum_url_lang = $site_forum_url = $base_url .'/'. $site_phpbb_page_lang;
to
$site_forum_url_lang = $site_forum_url = $site_phpbb_page_lang;

Might now be the best solution but it works.

For some reason, I can't find that line. What version are you running?

for all noobs, who came to same error as me, and dont RTFM :)

you have to enter absolute path to "phpBB forum root path" not just relative e.g. store1/data/user/html/forum/ - if you enter just forum/, it SEEMS to be ok, but you get such behavior.
