Please describe your problem. Ok, I also have a question about username clean,

i accidentally deleted my username clean while tryign to un-install a mod, and well im sure you know what kind of errors this has caused me.

Basically, I created a new username_clean, and corrected my admin account, so i can login, and post my mess up to the community, luckily im having a slow down right now, but would like to fix this ASAP.

My backups for some reason havent been saving or emailing to me for quite some time, so my latest backup, is simply not worth using,

so my main questions are

is there a way to correct my error with a script or something?

if not, what are some of the rules for the username_clean feild, what are not allowed, I assume uppercase, is that alls thats changed?
are the _ (underscores) still allowed, or am i safe to copy the username, and lowercase it?

any help, or direction is appreciated.

And yes i realize im a moron for not backing up before I modified anything, please dont kick me while im down :(

if you just deleted the name and not the column in the table then just put your username in with all lowercase letters. If you have any other characters in the name I am not sure how that is handled but you could look at other's usernames in the database to get an idea how it is handled.

Well i deleted the column,

I have another board running, so i re-created the column, and started adding a few of the names (mine and a couple of my test accounts) im creating username and seeing how special charectors are handled, so far it seems that if the user was allowed to register with the charector, its allowed in the username_clean

here's hoping.. but if ANYONE knows what charectors migth not be aloowed or changed, please let me know, I will be attempting to recover all my accounts starting tomorrow.

thanks again to anyone for ANY help, it is greatly appreciated
