Warned users be made so that their posts must be approved?

Hi guys -

Is there anything in phpbb3 (or a mod) whereby a user, if warned through the system, can be placed on the moderation queue so his/her posts have to be approved? I would like my moderators to be able to warn users who are becoming troublesome which would place that user's posts on the moderation queue until the warning had been lifted or we decide to give that user instant posting privileges?

Any help would be appreciated.

You will be required to give your moderators limited admin permissions (manage users).

another way would be to simply place your warned user into a custom usergroup, perhaps you could call it WARNED USERS?

however, each warned member would have to be placed manually into the group and your moderators would have to be group leaders

Have a look at this MOD, it may do what you want?

No MOD needed. No admin permissions needed. Make a hidden group whose permission for all forums in Groups forum permissions, Advanced permissions, Misc tab, Can post without approval is Never. Then make the Moderators group leaders of that group and they can place users in it from their UCP, Usergroups, Manage users. Done.

Try this:

ACP > USERS AND GROUPS > Manage groups > Create new group: Naughty
Group details

• Group type: > Hidden
  Group wide options
  • Exempt group leader from permissions: tick

Manage Groups > User Defined Groups > Naughty > Members
Add users

• Set as group leader
  Username (usernames of the Moderators)

PERMISSIONS > Groups' forum permissions > Naughty > All forums> Advanced permissions > Misc tab > Can post without approval = Never.

Naughty can be whatever you want to call the group.
