Right, thanks for that.

Upon running that query there were 23935 rows affected (my whole user database basically) and the "Disable BBCode" in the "Edit signature" page is set to "false" as it should be.

Unfortunately, now the "Disable smilies" and "Do not automatically parse URLs" seem to have been set to "true" where they weren't before. This must be the same for every member of my site?

Unfortunately this also seems to have had an affect on normal posting. The "Disable smilies" is set to "true" for all users now.

Would this be the time to break out a database clean-up tool?

In total, all I've done is run these two queries:

Code: Select all

update phpbb_users set user_options = 230271;

Code: Select all

update phpbb_users set user_options = 32768;

This query sets all of the other options to false.
