MySQL connection collation?
When creating a new database in phpmyadmin I use "MySQL charset UTF-8 Unicode (utf8"), but there is also a field for "MySQL connection collation". Shall I use utf8_unicode_ci, utf8_general_ci, utf8_bin or leave it empty (if possible)? MySQL client version ist 5.0.5, it's a german forum.

The phpBB database install will automatically set the appropriate database collation on the various tables.
