Setting Administrators/Moderators

Post by Tibneo »

Hi
I've been trying to set admins and mods, but it's not letting me do so. I can give others permissions of such, but they can't approve the new member's registrations. He said he gets an e-mail, he clicks the link, but it says that he's not an admin.

PLEASE HELP. Thanks.

From a standard phpBB ACP just add them to the Administyrator or Global Moderators group. DO NOT assign them using USER permissions, only Group permissions or you'll just confuse yourself. DO NOT give anyone Founders Permission unless you trust them with your life so to speak. ;)

Either...

manage groups
click members next to the one you want and add the member in that way

or

manage users
their name
choose groups from the drop list on the right
choose the groups you want to add them to.

Go to User's permission, enter the name of the user, in the Select type dropdown select Admin permissions and then click All no and submit. Repeat for other users.
