When did your problem begin? Following installation of 3.0.11, the first message posted and after I tried to upload an attachment by clicking "Add the file".
Please describe your problem. Trying to "Add the file" within a post, I receive a red error message stating:
Could not upload attachment to ./files/53_a8bac7c951f3c38f9ab901bebe08e15d
I notice that in ACP > Posting > Attachment settings that there is:
"Warning. The entered path "files" is not writable"
The name "files" (without the quotes) is in the field Upload Directory. Which I'm guessing has something to do with this.
There is a folder named files in the forum directory, and the files folder contains a swag of files from previous uploads.
I'm wondering whether this has something to do with permission settings on the files folder ? Though I haven't changed anything. I use Fetch 5.7.2 to access via ftp (on MacOSX), but I also have access to the server by Remote Desktop Connection in case that's relevant.
If I "Get Info" on the files folder via Fetch, the Unix equivalent setting shows as rw-rw-rw- and all of the Read and Write boxes are checked, the Execute boxes are unchecked.
What do I do to solve this upload issue ?
