Database problems, import only users and posts?

When did your problem begin? After development of a new forum earlier this year and at the present time.
Please describe your problem. After many years of running this forum with multiple developers we have created a large database (2 Gb) and also a few problems inside the database due to bad install of mod's.

Earlier this year we've put a new forum online, but after importing the database many many many problems occurd, which caused downtime of a week before we had an acceptabel board to run. (version 3.0.10).

The last few weeks/months, I have started developing a new forum based on 3.0.11.
It's almost done and we wanted to start testing the board with the former backup but now almost everything has gone to pieces.

Is there any way to export only users and posts from the old forum to the new??
So that all settings, mod installs etcetera stay intact?

I have tried the function in the admin board for exporting just those tables and it worked, but I can't seem to import these tables in the new forum..

Please help us!

And the answer to your question is No, you can't import just users and posts. Import the whole database and then after you can remove whatever you want. Geerally, however, database changes made by MODs are completely ignored once the MOD code is gone.
