Updating to 3.0.10 and .11

Post by diveguy » Sun Oct 28, 2012 2:07 pm

I have tried to upgrade to 3.0.10 but after everything is done I get a blank page. No error message like page not found, etc. Just a blank page. I also have an outdated portal page. I know this is not part of PHPBB but I am willing to pay to have help getting my site updated.

Currently, the site is working fine but I have those outdated messages.

Thanks,
Russ

Could you enable debug in the config.php and see if it throws an error instead of the blank page.

Open /config.php
Find:

Code: Select all

// @define('DEBUG', true);
// @define('DEBUG_EXTRA', true);
Replace with:

Code: Select all

@define('DEBUG', true);
@define('DEBUG_EXTRA', true);

I enabled debug and nothing displays. I look at page source after the blank page displays and it has no code.

I did the portal.php page and the index.php page and both are blank.

It was working before I did the update.

Seeing the number of MOD's you have installed, it probably is an error made in the maually updated files.
I assume the update shows some conflicts that have to be updated manually. What option did you choose during the update.

Having the fault, please check the server error logs around the time you get the blank page. In case you have no access to the server error logs (through your hosting control panel), ask your host to check the server error logs.
