Help with crashed table

Post by jamieCLICK » Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:45 am

Hi

I managed to delete the table phpbb_users and now my site has crashed.

I've created _users again but all the fields are missing so still seems to crash my database and effects my entire site.

Could anyone send me a blank users table which I can uplaod.

Thanks

Jamie

Restoring a blank users table will cause various issues as other database tables depend quite heavily on the users table. You should restore a backup of that table, if you don't have one then first contact your host. Chances are quite big that they can provide you with a backup of the database.

What is the situation on your board? Was it a new board, or did the board already have users, posts, etc.

A new phpbb_users table could be created in the database, but since it would not have the anonyomous user and the founder user in it, it would still be useless. When creating these users in that table it should be made sure that the user_id's match the user_id's that were in the table before, since those id's should match with other tables referring to that id.

In case your board was new/empty, it would be easier to drop the damaged database, create a new empty database and reinstall the board.
