Account Settings in UCP Problem

Post by Janet Ward »

Hi guys,

On the board I have, I go into UCP>Profile>Edit Account Settings, and the bottom field: Current Password, the description is showing: { CURRENT_CHANGE_PASSWORD_EXPLAIN }.
I also have Artodia: Mobile and SEO installed on my board, and it is displaying on there.
I've checked the full style, and it's only displaying on my Mobile Style.

Any thoughts?

that line in your ucp_profile_reg_details.html file for whatever style it is not working in, should be this:

Code: Select all

{L_CURRENT_CHANGE_PASSWORD_EXPLAIN}
notice the L_ at the beginning and notice there are no spaces.

That sounds like 'CURRENT_CHANGE_PASSWORD_EXPLAIN' => 'To change your password, your email address, or your username, you must enter your current password.', language entry is missing in your language ucp.php file (for English, it's /language/en/ucp.php).

Yes, you are right.
It's in the UCP, not the register page.

But as I mentioned before, only my mobile style does that.
My full style displays it just fine. :S o.O

yes but the ucp and the register page both use the same file.
check the file I said and see if the variable is correct.

what you posted above is not correct for what it should be.

I just checked that file: /language/en/ucp.php and that variable is filled.
It is not blank

if it works in any style at all, then it is not a problem with the language file.

did you check the html file yet?

I'm using 3.0.11
So it can't be a compatibility problem....
:P
I've tried changing the variable, to the one present in /languagen/en/ucp.php file, and that line disappeared, but didn't show anything.
So, I reverted back to what it was before

Tried the latest Artodia: Mobile and SEO on my localhost with phpBB 3.0.11 and it's working fine, the error is not appeared.
You can try do download the latest version of the style and to replace /styles/art_mobile/template/ucp_profile_reg_details.html with the one from the package for the test purposes.
Don't forget to purge the cache/refresh template after replacement for change to take effect.

Went to the download page for the style.
Downloaded it, extracted it, and uploaded a fresh copy of /styles/art_mobile/template/ucp_profile_reg_details.html, refreshed the template for the mobile style, and purged the cache.

Same thing results.

Is 'en' the language you're using when you get the error?

What is the "full style"? Also, please provide a link to your board so we can see what is going on.
