Can global moderator access ACP?

Post by yf_pro » Tue Apr 30, 2013 2:31 am

I made a guy global moderator and saw him accessed the ACP in the log. Well, he is not supposed to. I thought only admin can access ACP. How do I change that?

Users and groups > Group permissions> global moderator > admin permission> check all nevers?

he must be in the admin group as well.
remove him from there. there is no permission for moderators to access the admin panel.

no, a moderator global or not, can not access the admin panel at all unless he has been specifically given some type of admin permission.

What's the exact message?
Some things are just records of actions and not necessarily linked with accessing the admin panel.

if that is true then he has a admin permission set somewhere.

What do you see if you click permissions->View administrative permissions under Permission Masks in the ACP?

as I haved already told you twice, that is not true.

by default only admins can access the admin panel. moderators only have permissions to moderate posts/topics etc. they do not have any permissions that would allow them to access the admin panel unless you changed something.

That would mean on your board you must have changed it so the Administrator group has no administrator permissions because that is not the default and it's certainly an unusual way to set permissions.
