The xml of that MOD you mentioned works perfectly well for me on OSX mavericks and firefox 26.0. I get a blank page on safari though.

Liks are all over Google if you look

I use Maverick's latest version and I get blank pages unless I adjust the header

But are you talking about xml files in general (for which there are lots of google hits) or phpBB MOD xml files (for which there don't really appear to be any), unless you would like to point them out.

Well...many of my recently downloaded mods open as a blank page. It's not worth repeating this over and over so I suppose that I will just have to continue to revise the header code as I first mentioned to get them to read in a viewable format.

you are missing the point here. the problem you are having with phpbb MOD xml files does not happen to anyone else but you that I can see. that means that it is a problem with either your browsers, or your computer etc.

nobody else has to edit the xml files to get them to open.

I have no way to test safari so I don't know about that.

have you tried this:

1. using your mac, set file associations for xml files to open with safari

2. no NOT drag and drop the xml file into the browser, double click on the file like you would any other type of file to get it to open with the program it is associated with.

Dragging all the others to Safari opens them

Clicking then opens Xcode as it should

In Safari files will open when dragged to the application icon or it's dock icon or alias icon

The same happens to me on a mac in Safari and Firefox on a mac, all I get is a blank page. The appears to be something to do with not finding the style sheet.

It has NOT been too helpful asking here but I found that if you open the file in a text editor and change the header to:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="modx.prosilver.en.xsl"?>

it then seems to work ok

Apparently the moderators here wants to keep thinking that ALL IS OK when it is NOT :!:

We've been asking you for examples of MODs where you see this and so far you've only provided one example and that worked fine for me in firefox.

We can't fix things if you don't tell us which of the hundreds of MODs you're getting it on.

Ok here's an example of one I tried today and just got a blank with safari and Firefox.

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/mod/ ... code_box_3

I was trying the upgrade XML from 3.0.12 to 3.0.13

I can honestly say that most mod XML install files are now unreadable in Mac Safari and Firefox. Be good if this is fixed.
