Hide the tab in which the user can add/change group?

Post by volgograd » Tue Sep 23, 2014 12:06 am

I don't want users to be able to do anything at all with groups - how can I stop this?

Set the Registered Users user permission "Can change default usergroup" to No.

This setting was already on "No " for Registered users and my custom group.
But user still sees the Tab about user groups. I don't want him to see the tab at all.

Without a MOD the only way is to disable the module, which will disable it in the UCP for everyone.

Users cannot do anything on that tab unless you have some new usergroups set to "Open" or "Request". If you do not want users to change their groups, you should set your new groups to "Closed" or "Hidden".

I chose this solution. I'll manage groups behind the scene. Exactly what I wanted.

I decided that I didn't want the user to see that tab, so it's hidden now. This solves the problem. The user doesn't need to change group anyway.
