phpBB 3.0.13 "View Active Topics"

Post by ashwyn »

Hi all,

I just updated to 3.0.13 and everything seems to be ok except that I don't see all the Forum sections under "View Active Topics" link. I went back to ACP to check on each one of them and they are marked to be viewed in active topics...

anyone can shed some light ?

Thanks !

Only topics that have had a post in the last 7 days are supposed to show as active topics.

I believe that that function was changed a couple of versions ago.

I think you have to go into the admin panel and set that for each forum. it is no longer an automatic thing.

I just created a new topic under the missing forum in last active and it still doesn't appear. What other criterias ? I tried a new topic on the ones which are ok and they appear.

Your saabsilver style is very out of date, it doesn't seem to have been updated since 3.0.0. Not sure if that is related to this problem, but it will certainly result in some problems.

understand, but the saabsilver was used on previous versions.. latest being 3.0.3 and the active posts were ok then...

how do i find out if saabsilver is causing the issue and if it is, what needs to be done ?

switch to prosilver and test.

either way, I would suggest choosing a new style. a style that old is missing many many changes and even some features.trying to update a style that old would mean possibly thousands of manual code changes.

yes, you will have to make those changes to the prosilver style just like you did for your other style.

you just edit one or two files at most. overall_header.html and colours.css

looks ok and we can manage..

I would need some help on how to edit the header file as mentioned.... how do I edit a html file... I located it.. but anyone can guide on inserting a logo on the top left replacing the "phpBB" logo ? thanks for the help....
