Maybe a cookie problem?

The cookie setting have not been changed and are all correct.
Thanks for the tip anyway. That's a good article for next time I get in trouble with cookie settings.

This board was working fine until I ran the Joomla updates last night.

I do have some bridge software in Joomla that synchronizes the member files, but nothing has changed with that and I have tried deactivating it today. No help.

Your board isn't setting cookies so, if all was well previously, I would suspect whatever you did with Joomla has caused the problem.

Another question. How do I change phpBB authentication from p8pbb bridge light back to db? Is it as simple as changing the authentication parameter in the ACP, or does something have to be changed in the SQL DB? I'm assuming auth type DB is the "default" and what I should be trying to get back to.

After two or three attempts at updating Joomla from 3.5.1 to 3.6.0, I have given up and restored Joomla back to version 3.5.1. I am convinced the p8pbb bridge is the problem discussed above and I have decided it is not worth the hassle.

There is a newer version of p8pbb available, but I have no assurances it will work with Joomla 3.6 and I do not want any more disruption of my site if it can be avoided. Updating the Joomla site is inevitable at some point.

Thanks for your help.

My apologies for not mentioning the bridge earlier, I had forgotten about it and it does not show up in the list of mods.
