Please describe your problem. Trying to update Forum, which may not be hosted by us. United Hosting say it's our developer. Our developer says it's not.

I'm new in post and am comfortable learning new tech skills but have no experience of this kind of forum. Thanks.

Your site is definitely being hosted by United Hosting but where I suspect the confusion is arising is with who owns the hosting account and has access to that account.

Only your hosts can answer that and it is unlikely, for obvious security reasons, that if it is not you who own it that they will tell you.

If you do a Whois lookup it will tell you owns the domain name nfsp.org.uk - if that helps at all

Thank you David. Should United Hosting not upgrade for us then? Or is there a way I can do this? The domain is ours (the company').

A hosting company does not normally upgrade your site software that is usually your responsibility - although there is nothing to be lost by asking them.

Upgrading your phpBB software is not difficult and there are many topics on this board on how to do it, but the first issue that you will have to resolve is gaining access to your hosting account as without that you cannot proceed.
