Please describe your problem. When I start the forum, I'm directed to the log in side where only members are allowed to read/log in. Previously I got directly to the forum index side where everybody could read topics. How do I do to reset the forum side to be the start side again?

not sure what the "start side" or the "forum side" mean.

right now, you apparently have permissions set so that guests can not see any forums.

log in as admin and check the permissions.

make sure that registered users have permissions to see the forums and that guests also have those permissions.

make sure that the anonymous user is the only user in the guest group and is in no other groups.
