ZIP File Download

Post by afscrome »

I seem to be having a problem with downloading the ZIP folder. It downloads fine however, when I try to open it, Windows tells me that the 'ZIP folder is invalid'

Is this a problem with the ZIP folder or me - i've tried it on two computers and the same happens on both

I was able to unzip it succesfully.
If you are using winzip, try WinRar for the unzipping of the package, or try one of the other zip archives. Both winrar and winzip should be able to open those.

It extracts fine for me. What are you trying to extract it with?

Hello,

I can't extract the ZIP and the .tar files.

Windows tells me:
The folder is invalid

Like afscrome's problem. I use 7-Zip. Do you have an idea?

Greetings

Hm, that's very strange. The bz2-file doesn't work, too.

By the way: The size of the download files is always 128 KB.

Ah, mine are (what i guess to be) the correct size, 1.4mb. If you do want phpBB3 BETA1 really bad ;-) you can download it from [Removed - do not link to copies offsite]

Are you using a download manager? If so, try it without that :)

I was using the Windows ZIP opener

I think i've worked out the problem. When I download the file in Firefox, it opens fine. When I download it in IE7, it doesn't so it's something to do with IE or IE7 (haven't been able to check on a lower version. I found upon checking the ZIP folder downloaded with IE7, the zip was only 209kb sp OE7 also did something to that. I do recall a friend telling me of IE7 having similar problems with downloading the vista beta [only got a few hundred kb ISO instead of the 3+GB ISO])

Sorry about the delay, had to move some plants over to a friends house

The ZIP issue happens to me as well, but i'm on a Mac (Mac OS X 10.3.9).

I'll try it in Firefox.

There are so many people downloading the file that the server has a hard time keeping up.

Problems extracting files downloaded from this site?

I had the same problem and what I did was Open the file rather than Saving it to disk.

Basically, you have to just keep trying until you get a complete download.
Have you hugged someone today?

^ Ditto

I had the same problem last night... ZIP file wouldn't open. I downloaded it again, and all was well.
