Is there any way of using this with the full URL? Would be much easier for my users.

Haha! Nevermind, I did it, my preview wasn't loading correctly.

Hi, please forgive my ingnorance, but this seems to be a really cool place as I have been looking for somewhere to post a request on how to make a custom Code box.

What I want is something like this...

Code: Select all

[customcode={TEXT1}]{TEXT2}[/customcode]
So content with a title. But I would also like to figure how to add the Select All to the title as in the original code bbcode command.

I would also like it to look something like this:

Code: Select all

<table width="650" border="1">
<tr>
<td><font size="1"><b>CODE:</b></font><font size="1" color="blue">{TEXT1}</font></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td><font size="2" color="green"><code>{TEXT2}</code></font></td>
</tr>
</table>
Now the reason for using a code based command, is I want to do a tutorial on my site of all the different BBCode we use, so it would look something like...

CODE: Bolden text - Select all
text - Well I can't show the Bold code, but I would if I could... ;)

If you could point me in the right dirrection, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

Damien

Edit: As I think more on this, it seems I would like to get more out of it. Instead if just a 2 cell table maybe more, ie...

Title: Text
Raw code
Example with raw text
Result of example

so it might look something like...

BBCode Bold: Use to strengthen specified text.
|b|TEXT|/b|
Usage: The word |b|test|/b| is bold.
Result: The word test is bold.

But all this in one box. Is that possible?

Edit: As I continue to search the net, looking back here regularly, waiting patiently ;) I have seen that one site has a reference to a [noparse] command, I wonder if that would be of some help to us.

I would like to add one to this thread, I think this BBCode is cool. This adds a different backgorund to the thread where it is used, only thing is, first post to use BBCode is how the whole thread will look.

I wouldn't recommend this one, because it allows to directly use HTML on the post. :roll: :oops:

Hello sir,
I like this editor alot. Handy to use. I installed this and working fine but my previous installed mode failed to work.
I installed a auto image resize mod which requires parsing of code for resizing image and its not supported in this editor in which we must enter image url to insert image into post which is not auto resizable.

Can you please suggest how this editor can parse only the image links to be auto resized by my auto image resize mod??

Thanks

Anyone know how I would go about formatting this so its centered, non repeat with a defined background?

This is the html, but I can't get it working in the bbcode.

Code: Select all

    <html>
    <head>
    <style type="text/css">
    body
    {
    background: grey url('img_tree.png');
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position:center top;
    }
    </style>
    </head>
    </html>

Because you don't seem to understand how HTML and CSS works. Setting the background of the whole body afterwards is not recommended - if you really want that, take this:

BBCode usage:

Code: Select all

[background]{URL}[/background]
HTML replacement:

Code: Select all

<style type="text/css"> body { background: grey url('{URL}') no-repeat center center; } </style>
However, if you just want to have a box with a background, use this:

BBCode usage:

Code: Select all

[background={URL}]{TEXT}[/background]
HTML replacement:

Code: Select all

<div style="background: grey url('{URL}') no-repeat center center;">{TEXT}</div>

Thanks for helping AmigoJack. Its working, I just had to change "center center" to "center top".
And you are very much right, I don't understand how HTML and CSS works. I'm a copy paste coder. ;)

Would it be possible to have it fixed also, so the image stays in position when scrolling down? :)

Edit: nm, found it, adding "fixed" fixed it. ;)
Thanks again!

I`ve just updated to phpBB3.0.8 and i`m looking for Ebay bbcode which would pull in ebay pages or part of, to the posting, I`ve search here but can`t find a definitive answer?

Also is there a google earth kmz bbcode?

On the help page where youtube,google align left etc are listed, it would be nice to add all bbcode update options like the ones I`m asking for.

Thanks Iain
