Mod permissions

Post by Trel » Fri Jun 30, 2006 12:44 am

no matter how hard I look I cannot find the specific permission that allows mods to create sticky, announcment and global topics.

If I give no mod permissions, they don't have that option, but if I give all, they do.

Can someone tell me exactly where those permissions are?

Well there's probably more than one way of doing it, but lets say you want to give global mods sticky announcement permissions etc in a forum.

ACP -> Forums tab -> Forum Permissions -> Slect the forum / click Submit -> Select Global Moderators / click Edit Permissions -> Under the "Post" category should be announcements (announcements includes global too iirc) and stickies.

It's in the forum permissions. Permissions > forum permissions > select forum > select your mod group > you're there. :)

You want the permissions for Global Moderators?
If so:
Log in to your ACP:
1. Users and Groups tab.
2. Groups Forum Permissions.
3. Select Global Moderators from the dropdown, click Submit.
4. Select the forum or all forums that you want the permissions applied, click Submit.
5. Click on POST(1) and then select yes under 'Can post announcements'(3) and yes under 'Can post stickies'(2)
Repeat for additional forums.
