code for it :-)

I have created an RSS feed for Olympus, however seeing as no mods are currently allowed, I cannot release the code.. I am just letting the users know it has been done and once everyone is authorized to post code, it will be posted :-)

Here it is in the RSS Feedreader

And here is the source it generates :-)

I can see two issues from that screenshot alone: <author> MUST be an email address, and <pubDate> MUST use the Date and Time format defined in section 5 of RFC822.

Also, I assume you know that <title> cannot contain HTML, but <description> can?

This is too perfect. Do you need beta testers? I'm up for giving it a test run.

Send me a PM if there is such a chance of an offer.

What exactly does this do... allow you to keep up to date on new posts in your forum via an RSS feed? If so that is pretty solid.

I don't think you should be talking about mods just yet here....

Also, if some of you don't know there are dozens of mods already available for the betas. You just need to search for them ;)

Keep this in mind though, you don't have any support for your forum if you mod it, or use it in a live environment. Also, you might not be able to upgrade your forum in the future.

So please, just stick to phpBB2 and mod that for a while. Then once the RC1 is out, upgrade to that and receive support.

Do the smart thing!

I'm up for giving it a test. I'm doing some beta testing on Beta5 already, i'm sure I can fit this in to the mix.

PM sent.
