One of my admins cant get onto the Admin panel,

Post by Adders13 » Wed Jun 06, 2007 5:00 pm

One of my admins cant get onto the Admin panel, it just keeps telling him to reauthenticate over and over again.
We tried altering permissions, changing his password, deleting cookies and cache, but no luck.

Any Ideas guys.

it may be a cookie problem - get him to clear his cookies.

But you cannot reset cookie info for anyone but yourself as the cookies are held on the user's machine. Each user has to do their own.

I'm getting the same problem.

Tried changing the cookie domain by removing its subdomain prefix (i.e. blog.xxx.com --> .xxx.com) and even the point separating domain and subdomain prefix (i.e. .xxx.com --> xxx.com) and no chance.

First, the adm session died after less than 1 min. Now, after successfully logging in, when session dies, it states: 'Access to the Administration Control Panel is not allowed as you do not have administrative permissions.'

I fixed the problem. Heres how:
Go to security Settings in the ACP, this is below server configuration.
Go down to the validate browser option, change it to "NO", also change session ip configuration to "A.B"
Submit the page, and your problems should be solved.

It worked for me.

Aden.
