Announcements to guests

I want to put an announcement above my forum telling people what to do if they haven't received their confirmation email. Obviously I dont want registered users to see this. Is there an easy (mod-free) way of doing this?

It looks like there would be, but the amount of features in v3 is amazing/baffling

I would think you will need a MOD for this.

Or create a forum only visible for guests (use the permission system for that) and post it in there.
Not that elegant though - but without a MOD

That's a good idea, many forums I've seen do that, but as you said, it isn't the most elegant

Nice one guys... I just didn't want to be installing a mod without checking first.... saying that, I could just hack it into the template anyway.
