I did copy paste the code actually, and when Pony99CA noticed the list tags weren’t closed it worked once they were closed. XD. I originally used the sample you provided as just that: a sample, and not part of the original BBCode to test how it works. I’ll probably try fiddling around with the code later on to see if I can automatically generate the “date and time” fields, but this is perfect for now. ^_^;

Thanks!

Glad it's working for you & you like it. :D

It was just a quick test to see if it would work for what you needed, but I'll probably incorporate it into my forums with a couple tweaks. ;)

Hi,

I've been seeing people suffering with looking for BB codes that mostly refer to the ones which are used for formating text.
This is a mod that I recently installed on my board and solved 95% problems of BB codes for text formating:
Advanced BBCode Box 3 (aka ABBC3)

It looks like this:

I hope it will be helpful ;)

Maybe because it's so easy. :D

BBCode usage

Code: Select all

[h1]{TEXT}[/h1]
HTML replacement

Code: Select all

<h1>{TEXT}</h1>
Almost all inline text BBCodes are that easy. ;)

Tried that from day 1 it did not work.

My board was converted from smf and all of the 9426 posts show H1 codes and its to much to edit all the posts.

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_CODE_UNTIDY and S_MESS_ON_INDEX Good If_Not_TIDY_Then_SUBMIT -->

Have you already added the codes in ACP?

If you haven't try as follows:

Go to ACP => Posting => MESSAGES => BBCodes => Add a new BBCode =>

in BBCode box copy/paste:

Code: Select all

[h1]{TEXT}[/h1]
in HTML replacement box copy/paste:

Code: Select all

<h1>{TEXT}</h1>

That's the culprit. Install the STK and use Admin Tools > Reparse BBCode > Reparse all BBCodes > Submit.

Hi Amigo,

This STK looks like a good one.
I am just not sure about installing it.
It says that we need to upload the downloaded file to our server into stk file but it doesn't exist.
Do we need to create it and upload the content to www.mydomainname.com/forum/we create stk?

Thanks for this one :)

Just follow the Installation Instructions.

Download file, unpack with archive program (WinZip, WinRar, etc).
Upload all files within the stk folder, including the folder, to the root of you forum on your website.

Example:
Unpacked archive

Code: Select all

stk/images/*.*
stk/includes/*.*
stk/language/*.*
stk/style/*.*
stk/tools/*.*
stk/*.*
Uploaded

Code: Select all

http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/images/*.*
http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/includes/*.*
http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/language/*.*
http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/style/*.*
http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/tools/*.*
http://www.yourwebsite.com/forum/stk/*.*
Once you have done that, read the = Installation Instructions = section in the install.txt file, follow the directions given, then the STK will be installed on your board.

Yes, it's good to know that something like this exists.
Just in a case :)
Thanks Snake

And that's why the Support Request Template asks about that stuff. If your original post had stated that you had already tried the H1 BBCode that I posted and that your board was a conversion, it would have saved several posts.
