I am using this movie code, which I've called WMV:

Code: Select all

[wmv]{TEXT}[/wmv]

Code: Select all

<object id="MediaPlayer" classid="CLSID:22D6f312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95" standby="Loading Windows Media Player components..." type="application/x-oleobject" codebase="http://activex.microsoft.com/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,1112">

<param name="filename" value="{TEXT}">
<param name="Showcontrols" value="True">
<param name="autoStart" value="True">

<embed type="application/x-mplayer10" src="http://media.pmcmovies.com/SixtiesLove.wmv" name="MediaPlayer"></embed>

</object>
...and it works fine for my PC but I know some other users can't always see the movies. I think it is due to which browser they might be using, version of Media Player or plug-ins, or something like that. Could that be true? And if so, what 'requirements' would there be to play the movies successfully?

You could use an ordinary Flash BBCode:

Code: Select all

[flash=550,400]http://www.miniclip.com/swfcontent/freegames/loader.swf?url=snowline.swf&name=Snow Line&icon=%2Fimages%2Ficons%2Fsnowlinemedicon.jpg&w=550&h=400[/flash]
You just have to take the flash URL out of the HTML code...

Spoiler to show and hide a large post inside a quote style box

BBCode usage box

Code: Select all

[spoiler]{TEXT}[/spoiler]
HTML replacement box

Code: Select all

<div style="margin:20px; margin-top:5px"><div class="quotetitle"><b>READ MORE:</b> <input type="button" value="Show" style="width:45px;font-size:10px;margin:0px;padding:0px;" onclick="if (this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display != '') { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = '';        this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Hide'; } else { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = 'none'; this.innerText = ''; this.value = 'Show'; }" /></div><div class="quotecontent"><div style="display: none;">{TEXT}</div></div></div>
You want to be sure that there are no spaces in the HTML replacement text.

Help line box

Code: Select all

Code: Select all

BBCode usage box

Code: Select all

[dm]http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/{SIMPLETEXT}[/dm]
HTML replacement box

Code: Select all

<div><object width="520" height="432"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/{SIMPLETEXT}"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/{SIMPLETEXT}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="520" height="432" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object></div>
For exemple, this video:

http://www.dailymotion.com/featured/vid ... t-slim_fun

You take this number embed code...
<div><object width="425" height="356"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/1NCqGweQLUgZooAEQ"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/1NCqGweQLUgZooAEQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="356" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object><br /><b><a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3hm7o ... m_fun">Don t slim</a></b><br /><i>Uploaded by <a href="http://www.dailymotion.com/3615polyprod ... ></i></div>
In your topic, you post [dm]1NCqGweQLUgZooAEQ[/dm], and it's ok... :/

This is the code:

Help:
[popup=Open Popup]Popup text[/popup]
Test:
[popup=Open The popup]INSERT POPUP TEXT[/popup]
Bye Bye :)

Hello.

Please, I'm interesting in this bbcode.

But, when I try add it in ACP, I've got this error:

Code: Select all

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /adm/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an
ErrorDocument to handle the request.

So, If I change to this (without 'javascript' word), no error occurs:
HTML TRASFORMATION:

Code: Select all

<a href="#" onclick="la=window.open('','');
la.document.write('{TEXT2}');">{TEXT}</a>
Do you know how can I solve this using the original code with "javascript:void(0)"?
Thank you in advance!

PS: I have to remember that in my local server (Vista / PHP 5.2.4) it works for tests, but not in remote official server (Linux / PHP 5.2.3).
I'm using PHPBB3 RC8.

How are you guys dealing with the difference in the Google video URL strings? Some strings have a "-" present after the =, and others do not. Here's the code I'm currently using:

Code: Select all

<embed style="width:400px; height:326px;" id="VideoPlayback" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-{NUMBER}&hl=en" flashvars=""></embed>
Notice after "docId=" there is a - present. That works great for videos like this one that have the extra character in the string:

Code: Select all

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5053379821405436208
But not so great for other video's that do not have it:

Code: Select all

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=1375127946082472698
If you add or remove the - from a video that doesn't have it, obviously Google can't locate the video and it diplays an empty video box in your post.

How can we parameterize the entire string to include the -?
