Do you mean for each Individual forum or forum wide?
House burnt down, wife left, dog's dead, truck broke down and the shotgun's outta ammo.

Forum wide. I installed a new template, and want to now switch all users to use the new template. I know that all users will be forced to use the new template if I delete the prosilver template, which is the only other template, and the one users currently use, but I still want users to be able to use prosilver by modifying their profile.

If you've set the new style to the default style then backup the database first...then run this query to reset the users to default:

Code: Select all

UPDATE phpbb_users SET user_style='';
OPTIMIZE TABLE phpbb_users;

*If table prefix is different than phpbb change it to what you use.

Unless I'm confused (always possible) there's no need to do a manual edit of the database. In ACP -> General -> Board settings we have the option to override users' style selections with the default style.

I believe if you choose that option, the members will then lose the choice to choose a different style in the UCP > Board preferences. That query I posted will just force them to the default style when they first visit, then they can go in again to the UCP and change it to any other style if they like.

The option can be immediately reset after the forced change, I think.

Probably can...I suppose it does the same thing as that query does...I never thought of doing it that way to be honest :oops: ...I seem to always over complicate things. :D

:) No, that's not the point. It's just that it can be done without manual DB edits (if I'm following along right). At least we've covered the options. :D
