Attribute on config.php

Post by N.emesis » Wed Sep 12, 2007 4:57 am

Hi ive got one question,

my phpbb3 is fully installed with no problems,in the readme file or quick installation it says after installation you got to change back the permissions on file ''config.php'' back to 644,but strange enough after i change it an i refresh my ftp folder and check again the file permission on config.php i see 666 instead of 644 ive done this several times to change it back to 644 but it changes it self back to 666.

What is the problem? My folders attributes are like this:

all folders are chmod to 755
Cache is set to 777
Files to 644

Im lost and dont know how to solve this.

Have you tried another ftp client? There have been instances when changing permissions works with one and not with another- do not ask why I have no idea, just know that it does.
