Well, that did not work for me but installing all of the changed files did (and switching to prosilver). I am not sure what went wrong. I only had one mod so it only took 2 minutes to re-add it. I hope the automatic updater gets fixed it is one of the best features of phpb3.karlsemple wrote:it is a bug in the updater, assuming you have already used the ftp to upload the files you can just click the update tab as if you were starting the update process again and then use the file check to check the files for you to get out of the loop I believe this was fixed in the RC5->RC7 auto updater
As excited as I am about the prospect of bringing my boards one step closer to final release with an upgrade to RC7, the above statement has me all sorts of worried. I am currently using a modified version of prosilver, so I guess that makes me the style author, but without access to the files that have been changed, I cannot perform an upgrade.Marshalrusty wrote:Due to the number of changes that have been made to styles in this release (77 files affected), it is not possible to provide detailed code changes here. You will need to wait for the style author to release an updated package.

You can use MODs that have been updated for use with an RC7 board. The MOD author should update their first post in the MOD topic letting you know that it has been updated for RC7.TimJBart wrote:So after the update to RC7, can we then re-install our MODs or are all MODs now officially broken?
this hapend after i updated to RC6.
what can i do?
Most of you should read the first post in this topic and update to RC7.The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again.
You don't need to. Just do your forum URL with /install/ at the end.Rotekoppen wrote:how can i update with out getting in to the ACP?
I've found majority of mods still work! And I was so scared that ALL of mine would be ruined.TimJBart wrote:So after the update to RC7, can we then re-install our MODs or are all MODs now officially broken?
Ok worked it out. Phew.. finally, when you get some sleep your brain functions better.Decurio wrote:"The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again."

Now.. the issue I can imagine is causing this, is the form_token hidden field. And I admit to not understand much of what it is supposed to be doing. Nor how I can pass that variable to my module. Because I wouldn't be able to write {S_FORM_TOKEN} in my included php file. That would just print it as plain text. I need to emulate the whole thing, as I do with passing sessionid to the module, and the currently logged in user, and so on. In RC5, I was unable to call for $user-> inside the included php file(s) so I passed them on from bbcode.php.. anyways, maybe someone can enlighten me if they understand what happens.
Other than this one (rather big) nuiseance, everything seems to be working so far.
Just need to learn how to use Posting.php to accept submitted data again.
Code: Select all
add_form_key('posting');
Code: Select all
$now = time();
$ftkeygen = sha1($now . $u_form_salt . 'posting' . ''); // Generate the form key
echo '<input type="hidden" name="creation_time" value="' . $ap_now . '" />';
echo '<input type="hidden" name="form_token" value="' . $ap_ftkeygen . '" />';
