Database edits?

Post by SquiD » Fri Jan 04, 2008 1:03 am

Hi, i wasn't sure were to put this. It refers to MODs generally. You know how some MODs require database edits? I use mySQL database and phpmyadmin to edit it, if I were to use Oracle 10g database will I still be able to use phpmyadmin to make the edits? Can I make the edits at all?

phpMyAdmin is for MySQL only - forget about it with Oracle.
Here are some links to commercial Oracle GUI-tools:
http://www.allroundautomations.com/plsqldev.html
http://www.quest.com/toad-for-oracle/
Also Oracle has own tools for editing data: SqlPlus (not GUI) or OEM-console.

But i would suggest to You to stay with MysQL+ phpMyAdmin.

Thanks,I think I'm going to stick with mySQL and phpMyAdmin. Its a lot simpler! Those other programs look very complicated.
