Hi I live in Venezuela and the time zone was changed fro -4:00 to -4:30, I also installed the spanish pack language and thought the time zone was included in the pack. I would like to add this time zone option but do not know how to do it. Any idea ?

Time zones

Post by El Hatillano » Tue Feb 05, 2008 6:09 pm

I have just upgraded to the 3.o version and installed the Spanish pack as I live in Venezuela. The problem is that the time zone was changed to -4:30 and I downloaded from Microsoft the patch and now I am able to select the -4:30 Venezuelan time zone in the system time. I am not able tyo find this option in the users profiles and would like to know if there is a way to do this.

I seem to be having the same problem K2 was. My servers time is CDT (-6) (confirmed with the date file on page 1 of this thread), but my time is EST (-5). I have the server set to the right time zone, as well as my profile. I also have DST checked, as it needs to be. However, no matter what In change the system time zone to, it never changes the times on the server. However when I change the time zone on my personal preferences, it changes the times on the board. This happens on mt 2.x install as well as my 3.0.0. It seems like this would mean a system/server setting that needs to be tweaked or a coding bug that only effects limited users (doubtful).

Suggestions?

go to your ucp >Board Preference >
check if you time zone is correct

p.s its always cool to start a new topic rather posting in old topic ;)

The board takes its time from the the time set on the web server if this is not on the correct time you will need to ask your host to change it.
