Forum is broken, unkown cause

Forum was working correctly, then started displaying unparsed code with "Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: user in *****************public_html/forums/common.php on line 199" at the bottom.

Your link is just showing a page full of code for me.

Ask your hosts if php has been turned off by mistake.

I submitted a ticket, but no idea when they will respond. I jumped to line 199 and it's the PHP error handler, so I guess that's entirely possible. Anything else I can verify or check while waiting for them?

Try uploading a fresh copy of that common.php file.

I made a backup for my current one, and uploaded common.php straight from the install archive and no effect.

try replacing common.php root--language--en--common.php to the original one.

I backed up and replaced both en/common.php and en_us/common.php and still no effect.

Worst case scenario and I'm unable to locate and fix this error. Can I salvage the database and do a fresh install?

Also, since it's unable to initiate class user, doesn't that mean there's an error in the user declaration? I'm rather inexperienced with PHP, but if it's anything like all the other OOL...

try replacing whole forum files with new installation files but do not change config.php file. Let it be there original and also remove the instalation folder from it.

If it doesnt work u might need to do a fresh install.

Issue is resolved. I backed up my config.php and maintained my database. Downloaded fresh installs of my themes and the en_us lang pack and proceeded to do a reinstall, then replace the files.

Thanks everyone for your help. Probably would have gotten frustrated and given us if it wasn't for you all giving me new ideas to try.
