I set 'Common word threshold'

Post by yoyoto »

at the Search settings panel to 0 (zero) to avoid the message:

The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: example.
You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

But I still get it .

What could be wrong?

Have you tried rebuilding the search index?

Admin control panel -> maintenance tab -> database -> search index

delete and then re-create the search index marked as active, however be warned you may need to disable the board while you do this and on a large board with lots of posts it can take a long time :)

Well, this answered my question!

Took about 5 minutes to re-index about 5000 posts.

Thanks!
