My Extension not shown in Extension List

Post by rickheck » Fri Apr 06, 2018 8:51 pm

Attempting my first extension:

- Built the extension with the Skeleton; downloaded files to local computer

- Unzipped files

- Uploaded the [vendor] folder into root/ext/phpbb . (the 'skeleton' and 'viglink' extensions are also in that folder)

- Logged in as admin and cleared the Cache. Then went to ACP/ Customize / Manage Extension

- See the 'skeleton' and 'viglink' extensions listed, but not my new [vendor]

Loaded the ext_checker.php file into site root. Ran that page, got this:
Display name in composer.json: Insert into Main Page
Version in composer.json: 1.0.0
Name in composer.json: cellarweb/insertmainpage
Path to composer.json: /ext/phpbb/cellarweb/insertmainpage/_/composer.json
composer.json file access permissions ≡ 644
Reviewed all documentation for Skeleton, and other similar issues with extensions not showing on support forums here. Still no joy.

PHP version = 5.6.32
phpBB version = 3.2.2

Can't figure out why I can't see my extension on the extension list page.

Thanks...Rick...

You have the wrong path. You should have [board root]/ext/cellarweb/insertmainpage/composer.json

I used the files as created by the latest Skeleton extension version 1.0.6. It created the composer.json in the

Code: Select all

[board root]/ext/cellarweb/insertmainpage/_/composer.json .
Moving the composer.json into

Code: Select all

 [board root]/ext/cellarweb/insertmainpage
,purging cache, and the extension still doesn't appear.

Is this a problem with the Skeleton not creating the proper file structure?

Those are extensions which have as the vendor folder "phpbb", yours is "cellarweb".

So take your vendor folder as it is and put it into root/ext/.

Urk! I have been mis-reading the docs all of this time! I assumed that since the other two extensions were in the phpbb folder, then mine should be also.

Thanks for the help!
