Upload a working extension

Post by kamaleon »

Hello,

In this post I have a working version of rh topic tags with phpbb 3.2.5:

https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/exte ... 61#p673661

Where can I upload the files so that I remove my shared mega version?

Thanks

I would suggest reading these free online books, those will answer your question.

I have to read 10 books to upload an extension that was not working and that now works, for others to use?

Thanks but I think I will pass.

You don't have to read 10 books for that. It was just a suggestion so you know where to look at if you have questions about git.

When answer lies in the question, question becomes redundant!

In fact is just one book, and is not that long

If that extension have a GitHub repository it would be easier, as you only need to fork it and submit your changes with git or the desktop client.

But if you don't want to learn how to do it, It's up to you.

I am not a dev and not interested in git.

If anyone wants the extension, you should get it before I remove it from mega.

Thanks.

Why not submit it to the CDB?
PM the original author, ask them if they're happy to have your version on the page, you take responsibility for support questions on that version, everyone's a winner.

Try https://www.sync.com/ I use their free service to share files I don't host on my server.

Your isp might also offer you webspace you could use.

I am not a dev and not interested in being a dev.

The extension owner is not replying to any forum/support topics.

As I said, if someone wants it, please grab it before I remove it from my mega account.

Yes, after you created a repository press the "upload files" button on the top-right, then you can drag there your files or open the dialog box and load them from your computer. See https://prnt.sc/m7zjhw
