spambots after upgrade to 3.1.x

Hi guys

since i updated from 3.0.12 to 3.1-RC1 there are many spambots registration. I have enabled Spambot countermeasures as well

what can i do?

Which countermeasures are you running?
Have you logged out to check it's working as expected?

yes,these are my settings:

i getting lot of spambot too. i got them stop by making them use real email. but now i got new problem. i have no auto tool to delete Inactive user. i can see they are spambot. about every day i have to get on and delete them. it need to be auto...

Just to be sure, are you talking about phpBB 3.0x or 3.1x?

Both. i know soon i update. spambot will spam the hell out of forum. this hurt in a way keep user from making name for himself... sure, i stop spambot from spamming forum it self. but i have not stop spambot from making inactive. i need to put end to this fake account inactive madness and this should be on top of your list to fix

i got simple img code. but all do not work or make it better. i try them all. they still seem to make account. only reason they are inactive. i set where they need real email. that only fix forum spam problem. not inactive account problem

i cant just ban ip. you know harm that can do if a good user is on the same ip. they cant report a problem within the game

Most of the image ones have been beaten. The topic I linked to above explains that and also explains how to use Q&A with great effect.

Q&A can stop them completely, but you have to ask the right kind of question.
