Imagemagick Path

Post by Alien_Time » Mon Jan 12, 2015 12:16 pm

In phpbb 3.1.2 ACP settings, I am trying to add the ImageMagick path. Phpbb cant find it when I click on 'Search for ImageMagick'. In my ssh when I type locate imagemagick, I get this:

Code: Select all

/usr/share/doc/imagemagick-common
/usr/share/doc/imagemagick-common/NEWS.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/imagemagick-common/changelog.Debian.gz
/usr/share/doc/imagemagick-common/changelog.gz
/usr/share/doc/imagemagick-common/copyright
/var/cache/apt/archives/imagemagick-common_8%3a6.7.7.10-5+deb7u3_all.deb
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.conffiles
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.md5sums
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.postrm
/var/lib/dpkg/info/imagemagick-common.preinst
Now, what do I add as a path? In my previous server I remember I used to have it as /usr/bin/convert/ but I cant find that in my current server. Any suggestions please?

Hmm... it appears only the imamagick php module was installed on my server but not the binary. I installed imagemagick using apt-get install imagemagick. Now I can see /usr/bin/convert file in my linux and in phpbb its showing the path as /usr/bin/. I guess this is the path for imagemagick then.

Open Base Dir can result as an error. Its important to set in ur hosting settings :/usr/bin that imagemagick will work. If you have enabled GZIP you get an encoding page error. If you switch gzip off, you get the errors what you need to resolve the problem. Hope that can help for all other with this problem.
